Our story

In practice since 2004, Maya is a skilled negotiator and litigator with extensive courtroom experience. She has achieved excellent results in a wide range of high-net-worth cases with complex issues, including high-conflict child custody and support matters. Maya has been acknowledged as a “Washington Super Lawyers Rising Star” and most recently has been recognized as a “Washington Super Lawyer” each year since 2017.  Maya also volunteers with CASA, a not-for-profit organization serving at-risk youth in the King County area.

Tara has solely practiced family law since 1998.   She has leveraged and transitioned her extensive in-court experience into a thriving Collaborative and mediation practice.  Tara has served on the Board of the Collaborative Professionals of Washington since 2016, acting as Secretary in 2020 and Vice President in 2021, and is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.  Tara has also received “Washington Super Lawyer” honors every year from 2017 to present.

Both Tara and Maya have been named Best Lawyers in America in Family Law in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
